Brasil Digital Public Services
Enhancing the citizen experience through digital access to the most important public services, built with continuous iteration, user research, and personalization of the user experience.
Project Overview
This was a 0 → 1 project where the government started providing digitally accessible, human-centered, and efficient public services to its millions of citizens. With a strong example to inspire us, the gov.uk, we were able to build, entirely from scratch, a product that worked for the Brazilian reality, bridging the gap between need and access to health, education, transportation, security, and sanitation for all.
Context & Challenge
For over a year, I was part of a very senior, lean team driving the digital transformation of public services in Brazil, directly impacting the lives of millions of citizens, and giving them access to various essential services, including health and education.
My Role
Alongside a project manager, an engineering manager, and four developers, I led the design front of this project, being responsible for the end-to-end design work: discovery, user research, wireframing, design system, usability, accessibility, and iteration.
From user research to running workshops with public servants, interviewing citizens, and running accessibility tests and giving something so good back to my country, this project was one of the most rewarding activities of my career.
